The way the Athletics do business?

Okay, so I've been an A's fan all my life. But there seems to be a pattern with the way they handle their players lately, which I think is the reason they've been going downhill. It seems to me that the A's will develop their young prospects, then trade them for young prospects over and over again. Who else agrees?
