Will a Oil Change Help me out?

I let my brother use my car on Wednesday he put a quart to much oil in the car now its ticking. I'm wondering if I give it a oul change will it stop the tic or is it time for a new engine i hope not a new engine.. Geez... The Type of car is 2000 Chrysler 300M just in case u needed the make and model
