Beethoven's ninth symphony and Gaudeamus Igitur?

Many years ago a friend told me of hearing 'Gaudeamus Igitur' in the final movement of the 9th. I listened to 2 different recordings and heard it in each one. I have since forgotten where it is exactly. I haven't been able to find it again. Does anyone know?
