Americans are weird? or there are other explainations?

I have been in the U.S for more than 10 years and this is just my observation; most adult Americans weird. I've seen Americans spend millions racing to buy clothes, insurance, even manicure for their dogs....while their fellow american neighbor starving. TV channels show people spend millions to rescue dogs, horse, ducks, geese everyday! People donated millions and millions to Peta and HSUS while their neighbor got their house foreclosed. I mean, if you throw a baby and a chicken in front of an american right now.....he probably couldn't recognize which one is a baby and which one is a duck and which to rescue first. If he rescue the baby that's normal, if he rescue the duck he will be on TV! very hard decision for him. Most americans love to be the GOOD GUY as in fame only and not true to their heart like my friend Judy she always going around telling people how bad other people are at keep their bettas in less than 1 gallon tank while she keeps them at 5 gallon!! In the eyes of an american, everybody is bad and she is the only good one and everything she does must be the way others should do. She is a veggie then the rest who eat meat should be in hell.....whatever restaurant she goes she held her head high and think she should get respect because shes a veggie. I first try to understand why everything is about self in my american friends but after a while i'm tired of learning...they just simply weird.
